‘Tiny Queenstown’: Playful Tilt-Shift Timelapse of the Adventure Capital of New Zealand [VIDEO]
Queenstown, a small town on Lake Wakatipu in New Zealand, boasts a population of only 12,500. The town looks even smaller given the surrounding mountains and the long, thin, curvy lake. So you might be surprised that many New Zealanders consider Queenstown the adventure capital of their country.
Australian photographer Nathan Kaso, with a particular passion for nature and landscape photography, created a dynamic timelapse of Queenstown, to show how this small city is packed with adventure.
Using tilt-shift photography, Kaso playfully highlights different parts of the city to compliment its fun, energetic spirit and draw attention to the grandeur of the landscape.
On the video’s Vimeo page, Kaso writes:
This small town, nestled amongst the mountains of the South Island, offers an endless array of heart-stopping activities from jet-boating to bungee jumping, and everything in between. This short film aims to capture that sense of adventure, combined with the beautiful scenery of the city and surrounding landscape.
