‘Colossus’: an Incredible Timelapse of a Giant Pen and Ink Drawing of the NYC Skyline

Weeks of drawing boiled down to two-and-a-half minutes. In December, London-based artist Patrick Vale spent weeks working on an amazing, giant pen-and-ink drawing of the New York City skyline. Luckily for us, he photographed the process, created a timelapse and uploaded the video for everyone to see.

It’s incredible to watch the artwork, entitled “Colossus,” come to life before your eyes. The video gives us a glimpse into Vale’s work, allowing us to watch weeks of diligence, concentration and talent as buildings rise up in pen and ink.
