‘Seize the Day’: A Musical Tribute to Robin Williams Composed of Quotes and Clips From His Film

“Carpe diem, seize the day. Gather ye rosebuds while ye may. Strive to find your own voice.” These lines, the first of this song and video, were uttered by Robin Williams as John Keating in Dead Poets Society. Williams was known for his sense of humor as well as his countless voices and impersonations. For that reason, these lines are the perfect way to celebrate the late actor and comedian.

Musician, remix artist, and video creator John D. Boswell of Melodysheep has created a beautiful and poignant musical tribute to Williams. The music is Boswell’s own, but the lyrics are composed of quotes from the Robin Williams movies Dead Poets Society, Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Morning, Vietnam! and Jack. Boswell also uses clips from these movies, plus Hook, Patch Adams and What Dreams May Come, for his video.

Robin Williams, always celebrated for his talents and very missed for the laughter and smiles he brought to the world.
