‘The Modern Irish Drinking Song’: Four Elderly Irish Men Sing about the Pitfalls of American Bars [VIDEO]
Love going to bars?
Well, everything you love about the modern American bar – rhe energetic crowds, the wide selection of brews, ample televisions and the pop music blasting in the background – is everything older Irish folk hate about it. And they’re getting vocal, describing it all in song in a humorous video on the website College Humor.
“The Modern Irish Drinking Song” features four elderly Irish men singing about what they find to be the worst parts of American bar culture: the crowds, the music, the overwhelming selection of beer, the expensive drinks and the lack of sports on the TVs.
As they sing in the video, “We Irish love drinking, but not over here. Your bars are the worst and most of them have a weird mildew smell, right?”
