And the Winner Is… Sam Smith: Rising Star Cleans Up at 57th Annual Grammy Awards

Sam Smith really “stayed with us” this year in the music world. In fact, he made such an impression that he won not one, not two, but four Grammys at the 57th Annual Awards show. He won for best new artist, best pop album, and overall best record. His hit “Stay With Me” won best song of the year.

After the 22-year-old singer-songwriter from the U.K. debuted his album In the Lonely Hour in May 2014, recognition for his talents, along with his popularity, have skyrocketed. In less than a year, Smith’s album has won him countless awards, in addition to the four he nabbed at the 2015 Grammys. At the show, Smith also performed a beautiful duet version of “Stay With Me” with Mary J. Blige.
