Earth From Above: a Timelapse View of Our Planet From the International Space Station [VIDEO]

We can witness Earth’s beauty from the ground, but most of us will never see the planet from over 250 miles up. Thankfully, in his remarkable photos and videos taken from the International Space Station, European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Alexander Gerst helps us view Earth from his perspective.

The ESA recently uploaded one of Gerst’s videos: a six-minute timelapse video, comprising 12,500 images taken over six months, that showcases our awe-inspiring planet from space.
