The Calbuco Volcano Eruption in an Explosive Ultra High-Definition Timelapse [VIDEO]

For the first time in 40 years, the Calbuco volcano in Southern Chile erupted on April 22, 2015. Martin Heck, from Timestorm Films, and his crew captured the entire event on film. Heck has released a phenomenal 4k, ultra high-definition timelapse of the eruption.

Although the eruption lasted for days, the two and a half minute timelapse captures the essence of it. The ultra high-definition quality helps the viewer see how awe-inspiring and powerful the eruption was, from the billowing tower of volcanic smoke and ash to the fearsome deep reds and oranges of the surrounding sky.

Take two and a half minutes to watch the video and experience the Calbuco volcanic eruption in high-definition.
