Endearing Dog and Cat Portraits that Accurately Capture Their Goofy Personalities

Sometimes you can’t explain your pet’s personality. No, whoever you want to understand just has to meet your dog or cat in person. To help solve this problem, artist and illustrator Chris Beetow has started a service called “Pet Portraits.” He promises to accurately depict your pet’s personality through art.

It’s simple enough: you send a clear photograph of your pet with a written description of hir or her personality and Beetow will create a drawing to match. You can also ask for multiple pets, which includes a group portrait as well as individual illustrations of each pet, or ask for a picture of you with your pet.

On the “Pet Portrait” page on his website, Beetow writes:

The pet portraits commissions are so rewarding because of the genuine happiness they bring clients. [They] are whimsical, sometimes moving, and all based upon what the owner shares with me about their animal… What makes these pieces so important to my clients is that they visualize how they feel about their animal friends – and that is a pretty special thing.
