Can You Spot the Owls? [PHOTOS]
Owls have the incredible ability to disapear into their surroundings. The patterns of their feathers create the perfect camouflage that allows them to blend seamlessly into the tree bark. Photographer Graham McGeorge captures remarkable photographs of these masters of disguise, as they practically disappear within tree holes.
These particular photographs are of Eastern Screech Owls, a small species that sits about six to 10 inches in height. McGeorge, who photographs the birds in their natural habitat, has won several awards for his photos, including the Merit Prize for the 2013 National Geographic Traveler Contest for the first image below.
