Minimalist Posters for Famous Films Composed Using Only Colored Circles
Can you guess what movie posters these circles represent? Designer Nick Barclay created this series of minimalist posters which rely only on colored circles to represent famous movies.
The posters stay true to the minimalist style, using one or several circles of various sizes and colors. Despite being composed of just circles, we can all admire these posters for accurately and appropriately representing their films. (His prints are available for purchase on his website.)
Barclay explained the motivation behind the series to My Modern Met:
I came up the idea while sitting through Interstellar and hating it. It got me thinking about how in 2001: Space Odyssey a circle could be a main character in a film. So I wanted to see how many popular movies I could break down into circles and still be recognizable.
Barclay’s personal favorite is The Deer Hunter poster. Which one is your favorite?
