Jungfrau Railway: an Engineering Marvel and Possibly the Most Beautiful Train Ride Ever [PHOTOS]
In August 1912, the construction of the the highest railway in Europe was completed. Jungfrau Railway, which runs through the Jungfraujoch mountain pass in Switzerland and includes a seven-kilometer tunnel, is thought of as an engineering marvel.
Exactly 100 years after its construction, Polish landscape and travel photographer Jakub Polomski captured stunning images of the still-functioning railway. As you can see from his images, the grass is emerald-green, the mountains are rugged and snow-capped, and this is quite possibly one of the most spectacular train rides ever.
