What Would It Look Like if All the Seasons Occurred at Once? [PHOTO]

What’s your favorite season? Thanks to Norwegian photographer Eirik Solheim you won’t have to choose what season you like most, because he captured all four seasons in just one picture. Solheim combined 3,888 photos taken over the year through time slice techniques to create an interesting depiction of the seasons occurring at once. Because the black and whites of winter bookend the image, it almost looks as if the spring and summer portions are actually color splashes inserted into the picture for creative design purposes.

When describing this particular image on his website, Solheim writes:

I’ve had an SLR camera in my window at the same spot for one year. Snapping an image every half hour… It shows one whole year. January at the left and December to the right. You can clearly see that we have a pretty long winter and a decent summer here in Oslo, Norway. The spring and autumn are both quite short.

Solheim also creates seamless timelapse videos of the seasons as they change. Here is one video from five years ago:
