Fireworks Attached to a Drone Create Beautiful, Colorful Light Art in Long-Exposure Photographs

Calder Wilson wanted to experiment with his photographs and create new kinds of art. So he attached fireworks to a drone and took long-exposure photographs of the pyrotechnic flight. The results are rather incredible: images of spectacular patterns and swirling bright lights and vibrant colors.

Wilson has long photographed concerts and music festivals, work which perhaps inspired these experiments. No matter his motivation, the experiment was clearly successful.
